When you are finished, make and appointment with Jerry here at Star-AutoHaus
and let him know what you would like to do. If Jerry thinks your Mercedes
is a candidate for an MKB Power upgrade, you'll need to bring it in for
an evaluation…
Why an evaluation?
First off, neither Jerry nor MKB want you to waste money upgrading
a vehicle that will not fully benefit from these performance upgrades due
to pre-existing mechanical problems, engine mileage, body integrity, etc.
We know you love your Mercedes, and we do not want to do something that
will shorten its life or create a safety concern, even in the name of performance!
The evaluation will include a bumper to bumper inspection of the vehicles
physical condition to determine its mechanical soundness and road worthiness.
Then a complete electronic evaluation of the electrical and control systems
to make sure they are working properly. Finally a thorough engine diagnostic
will determine the health of the engine. Using this information Jerry will
let you know which MKB performance packages, if any, will most benefit you
and your Mercedes.
Once the decision has been made to go forward, the first thing that
will happen is a chassis dynamometer test to measure the baseline performance
of your car. When the upgrades are completed, the car will be tested again.
The before and after dynamometer testing will serves two purposes. First
it shows exactly how much engine and drivetrain performance has been improved.
Second, it serves as quality control to make sure we've done what we promised.
